Attempting to emulate the vast chart that is Ego Trip's Greatest Hip Hop Singles 1979 -1998(found at the back of 'Ego Trip's Book of Rap Lists), this blog will pick up the thread of great Hip Hop 12"s from 1999 onwards. It must be pointed out though, that owing to my limited knowledge and access that comes from mainly only reading about hip hop, and having not listened to rap until 2002, this tabulation will probably be blighted by some glaring omissions. Also, this work is asfar entirely of my own undertaking and input, so while it remains official!, in no way whatsoever it is official, nor does it have any connection with anyone professional or qualified.
